This American English version is the reference version.

1. This Page in One Sentence

We use only what is needed to run the website and web application — no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking for targeting — and anything that is not essential runs only with your permission.

2. What a Cookie Is

A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a site you visit. We also use equivalent technologies, subject to the same rules:

browser local storage and session storage (localStorage, sessionStorage);
IndexedDB, a local browser database used by the web application to keep your encrypted conversations on your device;
device identifiers used by the mobile apps.

Throughout this page, "cookie" refers to all of these technologies.

4. What We Do Not Use

We want to be explicit on this point:

no advertising cookies;
no ad networks or ad exchanges;
no social media pixels (Meta, TikTok, X, LinkedIn);
no data brokers;
no sale and no sharing of your data for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the California CCPA/CPRA.

5.1 Strictly necessary cookies — always active

These make the Service work. Without them, you cannot sign in, stay signed in, or be protected against certain attacks. They do not require consent, consistent with Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and the guidance of the French data protection authority.

6. Your Choices

6.1 On our sites

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or customize your choices by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting: both actions take a single click, at the same level.

You can change your choices at any time:

Manage cookie preferences (link present in the footer of every page)

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and takes effect immediately. It does not apply retroactively.

6.2 Automated signals

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and equivalent signals sent by your browser. When such a signal is detected, it is treated as a valid opt-out of non-essential categories.

6.3 From your browser

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.

6.4 In the mobile apps

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads. Service-specific preferences are available in Settings → Privacy within the app.

7. How Long We Keep Your Choices

Your preferences are kept for six (6) months. After that, the banner is shown again. A refusal is kept just as long as an acceptance.

9. Transfers and Service Providers

The Service's technical foundation is hosted in the European Union — IONOS SE and Hetzner Online GmbH, in Germany. Cookies set by Stripe and Google (Firebase) are governed by those companies' policies:

10. Changes to This Policy

Any material change is published on this page and, where it concerns consent-based cookies, your consent is requested again.
